Marketplace Suppliers Name Change

Tungsten Network Changes
If you are a registered user on the Tungsten portal you may have seen recent emails about ’improvements’ they are making to the site which includes a new log in page and a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requirement via a mobile phone. Please do not use your personal mobile phone for this authentication process, we would like to continue to use the portal using your registered University email address for the authentication only. Any queries surrounding the Tungsten portal should be directed to Bernadette Parsons Tel: x65872.

University Barclaycard Holders - Payments Services Directive 2
PSD2 is new EU legislation, applicable to all banks and businesses, which is being introduced with the aim of making online and contactless credit / debit card transactions more secure.From mid-September 2019, whenever you use your Barclaycard online to make a purchase there will be an additional check to make sure that it is a valid transaction. This process is called Strong Customer Authentication, or SCA.
This extra check can be one of the following:
• something you know – like a password or a PIN
• something you have – like a phone or PIN sentry card reader.
If you also use your card for contactless transactions, you may be asked to enter your PIN even if the value of the transaction is less than £30.00. This is because after 5 contactless transactions in succession, PIN verification is required.
We will contact you again as further information becomes available, but we are advised that it is very likely that we will need to replace all existing Barclaycards in the next month.

UPS Deadline Change
Due to CHRIS system maintenance the processing deadline for the UPS run of the 2nd August is now 5pm Wednesday 24th July. Both the Payroll and UPS websites have been updated to reflect this change. Please ensure users are aware.

New travel insurance portal – now to go live 15th July
FAQ - User Log in Error
The Helpdesk are often contacted regarding the error message below received when attempting to log in to CUFS. Users often think this is because the password is incorrect when it is actually a caching issue. Users are advised to clear their cache.
