Updated University Terms & Conditions of Sale
The University’s Standard Terms & Conditions of Sale (STC) have been updated and are now available from the Finance Division website. These now specify that the customer is responsible for any duties that may be liable and a Brexit clause has been added. Additionally, we have refined the Payments clauses allowing us to undertake credit checks of buyers and refer our debt to a debt collection agent .
Staff are reminded that for sales of more than £500 either in a single transaction or over the course of a period of dealing, a copy of the STC should be made available to the external customer before the commencement of trading. This could be hard copy, by email or by means of a link to the conditions on the website, with a clear statement that these are the terms which will apply to the sale. For more information please see Chapter 8a of the Financial Procedures – External trading and credit control, Pre-Sales Procedures
