Expense Management System Project
The Expense Management project is a key component of the Finance Business Transformation Programme, an ambitious, large scale drive for the University which aims to shape and enhance Finance’s processes and tools of the future.
The University is reviewing its expense management system to provide a swift and simple solution for employees to claim expenses. This will be the first phase of the overall project, the second phase will then encompass student and visitor claims.
The review involves extensive consultation of employees through workshops, 1-2-1 interviews, a survey and a dedicated User Group, which all together are helping to shape a new system to fully meet the University's varying needs.

Training Courses
These upcoming courses have places available:
Medically Exempt Tax, Mon 2 Dec, 11h00 – 11h45 & Thu 5 Dec, 14h15 – 15h00
If you missed this briefing session last week, there are a few more coming up in December.
These 45 minute sessions are to remind iProc buyers/requisitioners of when departments are eligible to apply/claim medical exemption. This area of VAT is being highlighted at the moment as it is a current focus of HMRC. Additionally, Fisher (one of our e-invoicing suppliers) are reviewing their controls over the application of Medical Exemption, and are therefore checking our use of ME0% on recent orders.
AP Part 2: Matching, Amending and Foreign Invoices in Accounts Payable, Tue 3 Dec, 09h30 – 16h15
Cognos Refresher Training, Wed 4 Dec, 14h30 – 16h00
For details of other training courses, please see the Training timetable.
