Grants 3: Viewing grants in CUFS, Wed 6 and Thu 7 Oct
View your grant setup in CUFS – a useful check for new awards. Discover how to view the budget controls and run some CUFS Grants reports. NB: You need to have completed the Grants 1 (online course, duration about 30 mins) to do this course.
GL1: Getting started in the General Ledger, Tue 12 and Wed 13 Oct
Learn the basics of how the General Ledger module works. Topics include the University’s chart of accounts and how to run online account enquiries. The optional second session covers how to process journals.
Grants 2: Grants reporting in Cognos Thu 14 and Fri 15 Oct
This is the Grants course that covers reporting using Cognos. It includes the two “new” consolidated reports where you can design the output by selecting your own layout options. Over the two sessions, reporting is viewed from three different perspectives: summary financial information, detailed expenditure analysis and management reports for grants due to close. You need to have Cognos access and to have competed Intro to Cognos. If you missed this, you can catch up by completing the online version.
