System Availability - 19th and 21st November

The CUFS system will be unavailable during the vulnerable period of 6am to 9.30am on Tuesday 19th November.  Please note the slightly extended time, due to the work required. 
The system is also unavailable from 6am to 9am on Thursday 21st November.
This time will be used for system maintenance.

Revised format of the Medical Exempt certificate

The revised Medical Exempt certificate went live in CUFS on Wednesday 13th November and now includes Item 10 of Group 15, Schedule 8 of the VAT Act 1994.  In addition to this update the format of the certificate was also amended.

Medically Exempt Tax, Thu 21 Nov, 14h00 - 14h45

This (new) briefing session has been set up to remind iProc buyers/requisitioners of when departments are eligible to apply/claim medical exemption VAT relief. This area of VAT is a current focus of HMRC. Additionally, Fisher (one of our e-invoicing suppliers) are reviewing their controls over the application of Medical Exemption, and are therefore checking our use of ME0% on recent orders.

Managing the Budget 2, Tue 26 Nov, 09h30 – 13h00

This session covers how to make a financial plan, prepare it for upload to the finance system and monitor progress against the plan. It is a practical course which will look at the techniques and systems within the University that can be used for budgeting.  It is an ideal follow on from Managing the Budget Part 1 and for those who have a good working knowledge of budgeting principles and want to develop skills in using the University budgeting tools.
